CBS unveils latest reality competition: Whittle Me This!
Hollywood, California
Capitalizing on the evergreen popularity of reality television, CBS has unveiled its newest talent competition, Whittle Me This!
The program will feature everyday people as they display their small-scale woodworking talents to audiences across America.
“Competitive carving is ready for prime time,” assures CBS producer Katheryn Fabian. “Whittle combines the mile-a-minute thrill of wooden sculpture with the drama and intensity that our viewers have come to demand.”
Whittle made its debut this week as a mid-season replacement for CBS’s ailing Criminal Minds.
The first two episodes will feature craftsmen and women alike auditioning before a celebrity panel of experts including perennial handyman Bob Vila, comedian Katt Williams and furnitologist Neil Lamens.

Banking on the breakout success of Whittle Me This, CBS has announced the development of new artisan-themed talent competitions including The Burnisher and So You Think You Can Blow (Glass)!?
